Our client are a Special Education School and College based in Hampshire. They provide young people with physical disabilities with education, care, therapy, medical support and independence training.
They are recruiting for a Senior Staff Nurse to join their friendly and dynamic team based in their onsite health centre.
As Senior Staff Nurse you will contribute to the multidisciplinary team as the assigned Nurse to a case load of students, ensuring a holistic approach to their individual health needs.
The key duties of the Senior Staff Nurse will include;
·Undertaking the role of house based link Nurse, being the first point of contact for students, parents, residential and education staff along with external agencies of your key students
·Working alongside the Clinical Educator to provide comprehensive training and support to the multidisciplinary team on a range of clinical skills
·Providing assessment, advice and treatment to Students
·Maintaining timely, accurate and detailed records
In order to be considered for this Senior Staff Nurse position you will have the following;
·NMC registration and active PIN
·Minimum of 2 years post-registration experience
·Competency in a range of clinical skills including medications, gastrostomy care etc.
·Experience of working people with physical disabilities of life-limiting conditions
·Flexible to work shift pattern
·Calm under pressure
·Accurate with a good attention to detail
·Predominately term time only working
