Science Graduate - Business Development - Territory Sales Manager Hampshire £35,000 to £40,000
1-1 Healthcare are working in partnership with an expanding Pharmaceutical business based in Hampshire.
As part of their continued growth they are seeking a Science Graduate - Business Development - Territory Sales Managerto join their team. This role is an office based role in Winchester, however home working can be supported and flexibility dependant on the successful candidates home location. As the Science Graduate - Business Development - Territory Sales Manager, you will have previously worked within the Pharmaceutical / Scientific industry within a sales / business development role.
This position can be offered as a remote working post however you will need to attend the Head Office on occasions and also for any training and inductions. Ideally you will be located in Hampshire for ease of access to the Head office.
Ideally you will have knowledge of lyophilisation (Freeze-Drying) processes within the areas of molecules, vaccines, diagnostics, peptides, antibodies, ADC's, live organisms, probiotics, GMO's, collagen scaffolds and medical devices
PRIMARY TASKS: Whilst this position is not a field- based sales role, the principal duties of the Territory Sales Manager / Business Development Executive include, but are not limited to: ·Achieving monthly and annual sales targets ·Preparing technical quotes for laboratory / consultancy work in conjunction with scientific staff. ·Maximising closed leads across consultancy product areas through efficient quoting and following up ·Managing the international sales forecast ·Producing monthly and quarterly sales reports, participate in the monthly sales and marketing review ·Attending trade exhibitions, conferences and industry meetings. ·Providing technical information and advice to customers and other sales staff. ·Negotiating contracts, terms and conditions, confidentiality agreements.
Essential Skills: ·Science degree in a relevant subject preferred. ·2+ years experience in a sales role with an international customer base with a clear track record of success ·Impeccable communication skills ·The ability to assimilate new technological processes quickly and be able to articulate them to customers in a competent fashion ·Be a dynamic self starter who is able to work to an agreed sales and business plan and targets without day to day supervision ·Work well within a close and professional team
An understanding of lyophilisation would be an advantage but a full technical training programme will be supplied. Fluency in a second language would also be desirable.
