Our client in Andover are seeking a sales, stock and returns assistant to work closely with their distribution partners and suppliers.

Key responsibilities are:

  • To be responsible for raising “fines” daily to Members and suppliers for failed/refused deliveries as agreed in the term of business.
  • To be responsible for liaising daily with the distribution partners in relation to delivery schedules and any issues arising in a timely and professional manner.
  • To assist with transferring stock between storage/plant locations as and when requested.
  • To be responsible for actioning authorised staff purchases in a timely manner.
  • To provide daily support with correcting delivery failures on Member deliveries.
  • To be responsible for Showcase order release and to release the period orders on a predetermined fixed date.
  • To be available to attend warehouse(s) stock takes to assist with the administration.
  • To liaise with members in a professional and timely manner in relation to sales, promotions and procedures.
  • To liaise with members via telephone in a polite and professional manner; providing accurate information on a variety of queries such as the progress of their orders, stock availability and items out for delivery.
  • To be responsible for the departmental mailbox(s) ensuring any queries and requests are dealt with in a timely and professional manner throughout the day.   
  • To be responsible for the production and distribution of the weekly Stock, Sales and Distribution reports within the weekly timeframes set.
  • To ensure that all filing and paperwork is up to date and sufficiently stored in an organised fashion.
  • To ensure that a professional and efficient service support is provided via all methods such as email, telephone for all Members and suppliers.
  • To be responsible for providing a service support for the returns purchase orders (raising of returns purchase orders for damage, recall or faulty stock).
  • To be responsible for the processing of products as requested via marketing for photo shoots, promotion and social media competitions.

Essential skills/knowledge: 

  • Previous experience working within a customer service environment where you have to use your own initiative whilst following the processes and procedures set out (this is not a scripted call centre environment every contact is different and should be handled that way)
  • Previous experience dealing with customers via email and telephone
  • Previous experience working within a team whilst carrying out your own tasks therefore being flexible and adaptable whilst supporting each other
  • Basic understanding Microsoft Excel as minimal
  • SAP knowledge is beneficial but training will be provided
