We have a great opportunity to join a global business in a niche industry based in Basingstoke as a Proposals Manager.
Job Purpose:
The Proposal Manager is responsible for compiling and managing the proposals, the process and working with key stakeholders to prepare winning proposals and maximise sales.
The Proposal Manager will use the bid process to efficiently manage and own the end-to-end process delivering the submission on time and in full. The Proposal Manager will be responsible for multi-year, multi-level and high-profile strategic bids.
Key Responsibilities & Experience of the Proposals Manager
oWork collaboratively with the sales team, and functional areas to qualify opportunities according to the published bid strategy or business model
oArrange and chair all bid meetings including the initial kick off
oPrepare Pre-Qualification & supplier registration documents
oWork with the Pricing Analyst to effectively ensure completion of the cost model on time
oEnsure proposals and tender responses meet compliance and eligibility requirements
oTake responsibility for the presentational quality of sales and commercial documents
oCo-ordinate all governance requirements for bid submissions as appropriate
oMaintaining records of documents provided
oProtect the company from unacceptable risks and liabilities
oOperate in accordance and compliance with the bid process and Quality System
oMaintain awareness of relevant technical and commercial developments in the market
oMaintain awareness of the technologies and competencies within De La Rue
oCarry out any other appropriate task as required by the organisation
Required Skills
·Minimum 3 years’ experience with proposal or bid management
·Proven track record of constructing a range of proposal documents, including small, medium and large-scale complex documents.
·Experience of financial modelling an advantage
·Strong experience of managing the general process of developing and producing high quality proposal and tender response documents
·Able to quickly grasp a wide context and yet have a good eye for detail
