Two Test Engineering opportunities have arisen to work for a well-known, successful brand in Andover.Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer and a Mechanical Engineer to join their busy team.The key purposes of this role include:·Preparation, execution of various dynamic sled tests and component testing·Creation of test reports including documentation of testing data·Maintenance of testing data in the Dynamic Test Management spreadsheet·Implementation of test setup changes in sled test·Sample preparation, installation and removal from dynamic test sled·Maintenance and calibration of test lab equipment·Data analysis of test results to determine pass/fail outcome·Active role in developing the test lab’s capability and range of activities·Execution of personal projects where required to improve department efficiencyThe ideal candidate will have:·HNC/HND in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or BSc in an Engineering related discipline·Member of a professional body·Time served engineering apprenticeship (automotive or service test lab background preferred)·Mechanical and electrical knowledge desirable·Experience with instrumentation including Load Cells and Accelerometers desirable·R&D background relating to product development·Practical workshop skills in prototyping development ·Proven ‘hands-on’ experience in a technical environment·Effective Communication skills both verbal and written·Eye for detail, quality minded·Mechanical aptitude·Ability to work unsupervised and fulfil given targets and goals·Problem solving ability to deliver workable solutions·Computer literacy in MS Office tools including Excel and databases·Experience in NI DIAdem and in writing scripts·Experience in using Altair HyperWorks software·Ability to work in small team and to tight deadlines·Flexible attitude·Willingness to carry out any and all work required in the department·Self-starter, highly motivated, strong team player with a positive attitude·Flexibility in working hours to accommodate demands of the role·Experienced in sled testing, crash test software and high speed camera systems (desirable)·Experienced in dynamic test measurement, calibration and troubleshooting sensor problems (desirable)·Ability to adapt when targets and goals are changed without warning·Must demonstrate professional behaviour at all times when dealing with customers and colleagues·Required to follow all safety processes and proceduresThese roles are full time, permanent positions (39 hours per week), paying an annual salary of £32,000 - £35,000.1-1 Recruitment is one of the leading recruitment agencies for jobs in Winchester for permanent, temporary and contract recruitment solutions.
