The Marketing Assistant is a pivotal role in the Marketing Department providing support for the Strategic Marketing team and the European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Sales teams.

This role gives you the opportunity to work with many departments across the business including Sales, Marketing Communications, Customer Services, Production and Publishing to support projects managed by team members as well as taking ownership of marketing activities of your own. These include the internal newsletter, campaigns and marketing print collateral. The Marketing Assistant is also responsible for daily administrative tasks from managing inbound emails from customers, internal requests from customer facing departments and data entry into the Product Information System database.

This role will also include carrying out tasks to help manage their eCommerce website and portal. This includes promotion of the website, creating discount codes, reporting on code usage and sales via this B2C channel as well as creating microsites.

Essential Criteria

Academic Qualifications


  • Educated to A level or equivalent.

Work Experience/Technical Skills


  • Good PC skills with good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Solid experience working within a busy and varied administrative role.
  • Experience dealing with customers, both internally and externally.
  • Good numeracy and written skills.

Interpersonal Skills


  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong grasp of grammar.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to meet deadlines.
