1-1 Recruitment are currently working with our client on the outskirts of Winchester who are seeking a Instrument Reseach and Engineering Assistant to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will be responsible primarily putting together the analytical instruments for the client sell to thier global client base and going onsite to install and train the user. 

oManagement of the supply chain for all instruments sold: co-ordinating procurement and delivery of components, complete instruments and spare parts and repairs.

oOn delivery of instrument components, assembling them into complete instruments and carrying out testing, validation and commissioning prior to dispatch
oPacking and arranging delivery to customer site consistent with terms of sales
oAfter suitable training, to undertake installation, revalidation, qualification and training for new instruments at customer sites in accordance with company procedures at customer sites worldwide
oAfter suitable training carry out service and upgrade work on existing installations worldwide
oMaintain and manage spares stock for the instrument range
oIn conjunction with the Analytical Instruments Specialist and Director of Research and Development, to carry out laboratory experiments on new and existing instrument products to substantiate and corroborate their value to potential customers and in conjunction with them, analyse the data for the preparation of sales and marketing collateral.
oIn conjunction with the Analytical Instruments Specialist, to work with the marketing department in the promotion of the instrument range through electronic and hard copy media

The successful candidate ideally must have:

oScientific education to minimum degree standard in a field associated with the material science, biotechnology, relevant engineering
oA keen interest in experiment design and execution.
o The ability to keep accurate data and interpret the same
oBe prepared to travel to overseas sites to deliver customer services and in doing so act as a top quality ambassador for the company
oFull UK/European driving licence
