Collections Administrator

Location: Basingstoke

On behalf of our client who are a privately owned financial business, I am seeking an experienced Collections Administrator to join the team on a permanent, full time basis.

You will be responsible for completing administration tasks for the Collections & Recoveries team, which will include assisting the Credit Controller.

The main roles and responsibilities of the Collections Administrator will include:

  • Managing the team inbox  ensuring correspondence is responded to in a timely manner
  • Raising daily invoices for customer distribution, by email and post.
  • Covering for Credit Controller and Recoveries Co-ordinator during when required
  • Running daily arrears reports and updating KPI spreadsheets
  • Completing up-to-date credit checks for existing customers in arrears.
  • Reporting on aging arrears and potential bad debt, ensuring timely escalation.

The successful Collections Administrator will:

  • Be a strong administrator with excellent communication skills
  • Have an excellent eye for detail and be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Come from a Credit Control environment and be keen to develop a stronger understanding of Credit Control
  • Have excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook
