Our client is looking for a HR Officer who is a CIPD qualified experienced HR Generalist.

You will be working for a small HR team within a Defence company covering 300 employees.

The ideal candidate will be highly experienced post qualification in providing support to managers with particular emphasis on recruitment and employee relations.

You will need experience of handling case management up to and including dismissal, non disciplinary dismissal such as redundancy.

You will need to ensure that all stakeholders are engaged in HR initiatives and policies.

The ideal candidate will need to have presence and be experienced enough to cover the HR Managers position in her absence.

The role is an HR generalist role supporting the HR Manager in the management of the day to day activities including supporting and assisting site managers through all aspects of disciplinary and grievance procedures, interpretation and implementation of new employment legislation and recruitment and selection process. You will also be involved in analysing, formulating and delivering new learning and development initiatives.

This is a pivotal role within the HR department and as such you will be instrumental in elevating the profile of the department across the business, and will include some travel to other sites.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an accomplished track record as an HR generalist within a service delivery, multi-site environment, be CIPD qualified or in final year, a strong communicator and able to multi task whilst remaining calm under pressure.

Our client, a key employer in the Andover area is currently seeking a qualified or part qualified HR Officer to join their team in a new and pivotal HR role.

The successful candidate must possess previous experience of working within a generalist HR function for a manufacturing company and key areas of expertise must include disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, recruitment and learning & development. The position does have an element of administration and requires excellent organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in a pressurised environment.
You will be expected to work with managers to develop an effective learning and development program, identifying needs and formulating an operational plan. This will include researching suitable options, negotiating costs and working within an agreed budget.
